The Certification Process
Partner with an Expert
An ERS State Anchor will guide you through a three-hour classroom observation or a self-paced comprehensive virtual module. They will provide real-time support and answer any questions you have.
Collaborative Scoring
Upon completion of the module, you’ll participate in a virtual consultation with a State Anchor to review scores and discuss clarifications
Achieve Consensus
To achieve certification, you must reach a minimum of 75% agreement with the ERS State Anchor.
Important Program Details
Prerequisite
You must have completed the ERS-3 Certification Training within the last year. This training can be completed through Spark Colorado or ERSI.
Note on Observation
Participants are responsible for arranging their own classroom observation outside of their own program. If you need assistance finding a classroom, our QAT team can help. Participants will have a week to complete the virtual module.
Recertification
This certification is valid for one year. To maintain your certification, you must complete the certification observation annually. If your certification lapses, re-training on the Environment Rating Scale will be required.
